Com as presenças da Polícia Militar, Polícia Penal, das Guardas Civis Municipais de Mogi Guaçu, Santa Gertrudes, além da Guarda Civil de Rio Claro, foi realizada na Secretaria Municipal de Segurança e Defesa Civil uma palestra sobre o Estado Emocional do Policial no Exercício da Função. A Palestrante Dra. Maria Aparecida da Silva Amorim que é Advogada, Psicóloga Clínica, Professora, Perita Judicial, Coordenadora do Curso de Psicologia da Faculdade Anhanguera de Rio Claro, Especialista em Direito Penal, Direito de Família, Direito Médico e da Saúde, Psicologia Jurídica e Mestranda em Psicologia Forense, falou sobre as situações que o policial no exercício das suas funções estão sujeitas a encarar e seus reflexos perante as mídias devido a força de exposição, e diante dos desafios no cumprimento do dever, e a carga emocional que o profissional de segurança acaba absorvendo é muito grande, e é comum o adoecimento adquirindo algum tipo de distúrbio físico, obesidade, desarranjos fisiológicos, distúrbios no sono, pressão arterial elevada, diabetes entre outros. A palestrante alerta quando esses sintomas começam a aparecer e a decisão de buscar ajuda deve ser considerada como prioridade e jamais adiada.
